With no more than two chapters left for "May I", it's clear that this story is coming to a close and it's almost time to start a new chapter. The sequel that will be named "All This Time" will be the next installment into this adventure that has become Cal and Gillian's life (and I can't promise that it won't be just as wild as the first round.). If you haven't read the story yet--save this post for a later date because I'm going to be talking about some things that happened in May I, as well as what could happen in the sequel.
It's hard to believe that as much as everything that happened in this story--happened in just four weeks time (March through April). During that time, you've met many characters--new and old-- and I'm here to start filling you in on a quite a few characters you might be, or might not be coming up in the story.
Gillian - There's no doubt that you won't be seeing just as much of her as you did in May I. I've got a few things to start off that will probably get the ball rolling. She'll still have many things to work through... and many firsts to experience. Things are going to get a lot more serious with Cal. You'll find that there's a lot that they're going to have to talk about.
You've seen a slight glance of her brother Ryan and pretty soon his wife Susan will be also be visiting with him in June, which will be interesting to add yet another dynamic and level to Gillian's life, since we now know now that Ryan, Gillian and Sean's parents died in a car crash when she was just in college.
Cal- You'll see him return to work, but he'll struggle just as much as Gillian as he tries to figure out a working relationship with her.
Emily- The only daughter of Cal will be turning sixteen and getting her driver's license (much to the chagrin of her father). She'll also be dating boys--most likely--and who is this guy Sam that's her lab partner that she likes?
Elena- The five year old granddaughter of Albert Juarez. Elena survived a car crash that killed her mother and injured Cal and Gillian. At the moment, I don't have anything planned, but that could all change if I can think of a good storyline for her.
Sean- Gillian's younger brother. With everything that's been going on with his sister, it's possible that he'll show up some time. If not, he's expecting a baby boy in January, so Gillian will probably have to go see the little one when the time comes.
Dr. Anna Keller- Gillian's college friend, who has sporadically made appearances throughout the story--so you can probably expect her to do the same in the sequel.
Sophie- Gillian's now adopted daughter will be celebrating her second birthday in July. You'll see her actively in the story. There will be some worried conflict when Alec returns to the story.
