Awww...this was sweet. A nice, gentle transition chapter. I love the idea that Gillian's finally going to bring Sophie home, although part of me worries that after everything that's happened in the last few days she's not up for it yet. Physically or emotionally.
Hope everything goes smoothly and that Cal gets well enough to help her out. :)
Thanks! I have to agree. It's actually been the last week that's really changed her (and hopefully not for the better) She's now has the added responsibility of a child--which she's never had to face before-- while dealing with PTSD and a repeated hurt shoulder. It's now Sunday in the story and sadly Cal will be in the hospital until Tuesday. But remember that Emily is also coming to help (and stay) for a day as well.
However, he has his own injuries to deal with, unfortunately. That doesn't mean that he's not going to try and help, but I think we could be getting to the point in the story where we see both Cal and Gillian both getting frustrated due to healing from injuries, and still trying to be there for one another.
